Собственно интересует, возможно ли на нынешнем этапе эффективное подавление военных GPS приемников? С одной стороны подобные разработки есть и рекламируются, но "спецы" работающие с GPS говорят, что заявленные для таких систем дальность подавления в 100-150 км реальны только для гражданских изделий и для военных приемников эти значения будут составлять не более 150-200 метров. То есть, по факту, против ВТО с системами спутниковой коррекцией не эффективны.

BAE Systems develops anti-jamming GPS receivers
AUSTIN, Texas, 18 April 2008. BAE Systems has developed a satellite navigation receiver system designed to provide uninterrupted operation of the global positioning system for air, land, and sea platforms and applications.
The company developed and readied the system in response to the emerging threat of disruption to operations of GPS navigation systems. The new satellite navigational immune receiver ensures operable navigation in the presence of radio-requency jamming.
"GPS jamming has become an acute threat to armed forces operating in the modern battle arena," says Kent Jacobson, vice president of BAE Systems' Sensor Integration business in Austin. "BAE Systems developed a unique system that offers operational immunity against electronic jamming and disruptions to maintain precise and reliable GPS operation, even in multiple jamming environments."

Российские специалисты ищут различные возможности противостоять развертыванию в Восточной Европе (Польша и Чехия) систем противоракетной обороны (ПРО), направленных исключительно против России. Своим видением этой проблемы в беседе с корреспондентом "АвиаПорт.Ru" на выставке "Беспилотные многоцелевые комплексы в интересах ТЭК" поделился директор ООО "Авиаконверсия" Олег Антонов.
"Одной из мер противодействия американской ПРО, а также авианосным соединениям, является создание помех станциям управления и фактически подавление их функционирования", - полагает собеседник.
По его словам, компания впервые озвучила методы борьбы с базами ПРО, а также американскими авианосцами, на авиасалоне в Ле Бурже в 2007 году. "Впервые компания продемонстрировала натурные образцы передатчиков помех GPS и ГЛОНАСС на МАКС-2007 и только тогда американцы оценили, какая это "бомба" под их высокоточное оружие", - сказал О.Антонов.
Он напомнил, что ранее системами постановки помех измерялись параметры сигнала, передаваемого "заглушаемым" излучателем, параметры "запоминались" и потом ретранслировались системой постановки помех. Однако, по словам собеседника, с конца 70-х годов реализуется совсем другой принцип. Сегодняшняя система помех постоянно находится в режиме приема, не обрабатывает сигналы, а запоминает их и передает их, наделяя ложной информацией. "Суть создания помех состоит в том, что помеха - ответная. То есть принимается сигнал, он запоминается и переизлучается без каких-либо изменений, но при этом ответный сигнал наделяется ложными целями, многими разными траекторными признаками с тем, чтобы наши ложные цели ничем не отличались от реальных целей", - уточнил глава компании.
О.Антонов по просьбе "АвиаПорт.Ru" прокомментировал эффективность использования системы постановки помех на опыте второй Иракской кампании. "США знают ООО "Авиаконверсия" по скандалу начала войны в Ираке, когда 10 дней американские ракеты и бомбы в цели не попадали. На пятый день "иракской кампании" США прислали России ноту, однако "Авиаконверсия" доказала, что продали станции помех посредникам", - сказал О.Антонов. Он добавил, что США до войны в Ираке были лучшими покупателями и закупили у российского предприятия несколько десятков постановщиков помех для изучения и испытаний своего оружия.

Rockwell Collins advances next-generation GPS by tracking new military signal
CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa (February 02, 2010) - Rockwell Collins recently achieved live satellite M Code tracking with its new Global Position System (GPS) receiver for the Modernized User Equipment (MUE) program, marking a major step forward in developing the next generation of GPS technology for the military.
The MUE receiver card development program, awarded to Rockwell Collins in 2006 by the U.S. Air Force Space and Missile Systems Center (SMC), is developing the military user equipment portion of the next-generation GPS system that incorporates a new military signal and security architecture. The new technology offers enhanced integrity, exclusivity and improved anti-jam capabilities.
M Code, which stands for Military Code, is a key element in the modernization of military GPS. While it is transmitted on the same L1 and L2 frequencies used by the legacy P(Y) Code, it will significantly improve the security of military GPS. I had the honor of attending Colonel David Maddens’ retirement luncheon at the Space and Missile Systems Center (SMC) on Los ***********************************************************************************************************
Angeles Air Force Base (LAAFB) on June 16, and it was quite an event. Just prior to it, I asked Dave if he would like to conduct an exit interview after he took a short vacation with his family. He agreed it would be a good idea and a way to say some things he has wanted to say for awhile.
During the retirement luncheon, various people and organizations presented Dave with mementos of his time at the GPS Wing; I stopped counting at approximately 50 different presentations. This is an indication of the high regard in which Dave is held by those with whom he works on a daily basis. The military shadowbox he was presented (see photo), which is a typical military farewell presentation, had the following inscription, which is certainly not typical, and sums up the way those who work with Dave feel about him as a commander and as a person.

Dave was officially retired the next day by Colonel (USAF, retired) Bradford Parkinson. Dr. Parkinson was the first GPS Joint Program Office Director, in the early 1970s. He recently reviewed those early days and those responsible for the success of GPS with a two part series in the pages of GPS World. Interview
Don Jewell (DJ): Dave, after almost four years first as the Vice Commander and then for the last three years the commander of the GPS Wing, of what are you most proud?
Colonel David Madden (DM): Overall, the GPS Wing has made significant progress over the years moving critical space system developments and acquisitions forward. The GPS Wing continues to lead with a “back-to-basics” foundation of rigorous system engineering, incorporated strategies like parallel risk reduction and capability insertion efforts, incremental delivery of timely and valuable capabilities to warfighters and civil users, and best business practices with solid cost estimates and contract incentives. Our new GPS III space vehicle, Next Generation Control Segment, and our GPS Modernized User Equipment programs incorporate our latest thinking of these innovations, and pave the path as a model for future acquisitions: low risk and high confidene associated with program execution (cost, schedule and technical performance).
The GPSW Team has had many specific accomplishments over the last four years. I would like to highlight just a few.
Space Segment. In the space segment, we accomplished a major milestone in GPS history with the launch of the final GPS IIR-M satellite in Aug 2009. GPS IIR-21 (M) marked a critical milestone in the GPS modernization program that was initiated in early 2000. The GPS IIR/IIR-M satellites are the cornerstone of the GPS constellation, and I expect them to perform well into the future. We’ve completed the development, testing and launch operations of the first GPS IIF Space Vehicle. The GPS IIF is the “Dawn of a New Era” of GPS services, providing new and improved capabilities that will continue to support not only the warfighter but commercial and civil users around the globe. IIF vehicles two and three will be delivered by early 2011, and two of the remaining nine fixed-priced vehicles are already proceeding down the Boeing Pulse Line.
Another noteworthy accomplishment was the award of the GPS III spacecraft contract. The GPS III will be developed in three increments with each increment to include more capabilities based on technical maturity. We successfully completed the GPS IIIA satellite Preliminary Design Review (PDR) in May 2009 and the GPS IIIA Critical Design Review (CDR) is scheduled for August 2010, two months ahead of schedule, which completes the detailed design and lays the foundation for fabrication. GPS IIIA is a back-to-basics spacecraft program with a strong focus on systems engineering, mission success, and acquisition excellence.
Ground Segment. In the GPS ground control segment, great lengths were taken to ensure the successful replacement of the decades-old command and control (C2) system with the new Architecture Evolution Plan (AEP) software, to improve GPS operator interfaces while providing a test capability for the new signals on the modernized satellites and to improve launch, anomaly, and disposal (LADO) operations. This new software will also provide robust security improvements to include “over-the-air” distribution (OTAD) of encryption keys to properly equipped military users.
I would also like to mention the successful award of the Next Generation Control Segment (OCX) back-to basics contract. The current acquisition strategy for fielding the OCX consists of four increments (commonly referred to as Blocks). The recently awarded OCX contract consists of Blocks one and two [while] Blocks three and four will be follow-on contracts that align with the future GPS IIIB and GPS IIIC spacecraft capabilities.
User Segment. In the GPS user equipment segment, we are actively working the development of a new generation of military user equipment to take advantage of the modernized M-Code [military only] signals. Currently we are conducting technical demonstrations and risk reduction for our next generation Military GPS User Equipment (MGUE) and defining a creative acquisition strategy.
USD-AT&L (the undersecretary of Defense for Acquisition, Technology and Logistics) signed an acquisition decision memorandum (ADM) on May 24, 2010, approving a material development decision for MGUE: the formal entry point for MGUE into the acquisition process. Currently, our three Military User Equipment (MUE) contractors are testing and delivering prototype cards this summer; government testing follows.
The foundation of our MGUE acquisition strategy is an incremental approach that leverages technology developed under the MUE program to move into engineering and manufacturing development of the first MGUE receivers as soon as possible. The strategy will be submitted to the Pentagon this summer after SMC coordination and PEO Space approval.
Our business strategy over the long term is to develop common GPS modules (CGMs) as the core engine for all DoD user equipment. We will develop CGMs incrementally as well, to support the form factors for the air, maritime, and ground domains. By early fall, we will have a final technical requirements document (TRD) for the MGUE form factors and CGM. We expect an RFP release in Feb 2011, and a Milestone A in May 2011. By early FY12, we should be on contract for Increment One of MGUE.
System Sustainment. From a systems sustainment standpoint, our GPS Wing detachment located at Peterson AFB has exceeded all expectation associated with ground (software and remote sites), user, and satellite systems sustainment. Even with all the system upgrades over the past year our sustainment team has kept the operational system performance well above the requirement: Read, no capability impact to civil or military users.
In fact, performance (availability, accuracy, and integrity) has been significantly improved over the last four years. Finally, they are normalizing sustainment of the current user equipment (DAGR-Defense Advanced GPS Receiver, MAGR-2K-Miniaturized Airborne GPS Receiver Version 2, and ADAP-Advanced Digital Antenna Production program) by transitioning sustainment responsibility to Air Force Material Command, specifically the Warner Robins Air Logistics Center depot at Robins AFB, Georgia.
Partnerships. The GPS Wing has established a close working relationship with Air Force Space Command Headquarters at Peterson AFB, Colorado for overall system operations, sustainment, and development responsibility; the 45th Space Wing (launch operations teams at Cape Canaveral Air Force Station in Florida), the 50th Space Wing (Overall System Operators at Schreiver AFB in Colorado), the Launch and Range Systems Wing (Los Angeles, California acquisition organization with responsibility for getting our GPS satellites successfully to orbit), the United Launch Alliance, the many government agencies (FAA, DOT, DOE, NSA, NGA, NASA, and so on), OSD organizations (PA&E, NII, AT&L, DOT&E), and our dedicated and professional prime contractors and major subcontractors to successfully sustain and enhance GPS mission capabilities — providing the highest overall daily system availability and the most robust GPS on-orbit constellation ever for war fighters and civil users worldwide. The constellation is healthier than it has ever been, and with the launch of the first IIF satellite and the on-track development of GPS IIIA, we are poised to maintain GPS as the gold standard for positioning, navigation, and timing well into the future.
The People. Finally and most importantly, I am proud of the men and women that make up the GPS Wing. They have molded many players (Aerospace, MITRE, service reps, international officers, government and civil agencies, SE&I and SETA (support) contractors, and U.S. Air Force military and civilians) into a finely tuned machine that is always focused on the number one priority: mission success. At the same time they have made the Wing a fun place to work. The GPS Wing members have made significant contributions to the quality of life in the GPSW, on LAAFB (Los Angeles Air Force Base), and the local community. Whether it was the great Company Grade Officer Association activities, tasty Tuesdays, the BBQs by the base gym, the holiday parties, the POW/MIA (Prisoner of War/Missing in Action) Run, the yearly toy contributions to the Marine Corp Toys for Tots program, regular food drives to support the Redondo Beach community, the yearly car show, the GPS Partnership Council, GPS University, or the many visits to local schools (just to name a few activities), they are truly a class act of which I was honored to be a small part.
DJ: Dave, how would you most like to be remembered?
DM: As the "AGER" guy. The one who put the enterprise back together, which will lead to better synchronization among the segments and ultimately deliver future warfighting capability to the U.S. and Allied forces. Senior AF, DoD, and Congressional leadership now look at GPSW execution as a enterprise rather than a collection of individual ACAT 1D (Acquisition Category 1D) programs. This has allowed the modernization program to move forward, significantly reducing the numbers of reviews, documents, and decision complexity.
DJ: Dave can you explain just where we are today in the ongoing GPS-IIF saga? Are we on track and on schedule to have IIF-1 activated sometime in late August? Will there be a second IIF launch this calendar year? Does Boeing finally have it all together?
DM: Don, I'm actually glad you asked the question that way, because it gives me an opportunity to address it squarely. It is completely fair to call the GPS IIF program a saga because of how long it took us to get to our first launch. But it is also important to ensure the credit and blame gets spread properly. The program did suffer from the sins of acquisition reform in the 1990s — on the government side and the industry side —- as well as major requirements changes years after program initiation. In hindsight, I'd have to say that we collectively failed again in the mid 2000s when we were overly optimistic about the time and funding needed for the challenges we would face in recovering from TSPR (Total System Performance Responsibility). On the flip side, during my tenure here I've had great support from my senior leadership — and from their Boeing counterparts — for taking the time necessary to ensure we have a quality program. We kept our eye on mission assurance and fixed quite a few end-of-life risks. We might not have had that luxury if the constellation weren't so robust over the past few years.
In the end, the proof is in the on-orbit performance. So far, I'm proud to say that the checkout of SVN-62 has been proceeding very smoothly. My guys and Boeing have a great working relationship with the crews up at the 50th Space Wing, so the bird is in good hands. I expect we'll find a few things we want to tweak before making the satellite available to users [Editors Note: See An L5 Surprise]. Most space programs do that with the first satellite of a kind. In the end, the users will have a satellite that adds real benefit to the constellation performance.
Right now the teams are still pushing hard to get SV-2 ready to launch. There are still a few hurdles to clear, and the leadership needs to evaluate whether or not the constellation really needs another GPS IIF just yet or can it wait until next summer. I would love to watch another one go up this year, but it just won't be the same watching from the sidelines!
DJ: I know it won’t be the same, Dave, but it should still be exciting. Now how about an update on the OCX program and how it is progressing?
DM: The OCX program is off to a great start. We awarded the contract to Raytheon in February 2010 and kicked off the integrated baseline review (IBR) in March. We are currently working side-by-side with Raytheon to solidify the program management baseline so we can jointly manage the program in a back-to-basics manner. Phase B software development for controlling modernized features is underway and builds on Phase A products, which we demonstrated with a prototype in December 2008. I have tremendous confidence that the OCX program will deliver promised capabilities on time to support modernized GPS.
DJ: Can you give us an update on where we are with the GPS IIIA program? Have you been successful in maintaining the no-changes mandate?
DM: GPS IIIA has maintained a stringent, back-to-basics approach since program inception. This has included significant investment in early systems engineering, and strict requirements discipline. To date, no new requirements have been levied on the GPS IIIA. Any new requirements for consideration are being addressed in future blocks as planned. The program is currently on track, and is forecasting the completion of Critical Design Review 60 days ahead of the baseline schedule.
DJ: We have satellites on orbit today that will reach their mean mission duration without broadcasting all resident signals or using all capabilities? Is there a plan to address this issue?
DM: Although there is some concern that the IIR-M satellites may reach their end of life before the L2C capability has been deployed, or that the IIF satellites may reach their end of life before L5 has gone operational, the concern is not justified by our reliability predictions and our current program plans. Current plans are for OCX Block 1 to provide L2C support, which is projected in the August 2015 timeframe, whereas the IIR-M satellites are expected to live well into the 2020 timeframe. Likewise, OCX Block 2 will provide L5 support in the 2016 timeframe, and our IIF satellites are expected to live into the 2025 timeframe. Therefore the likelihood that IIR-M or IIF satellites will be decommissioned before L2C or L5 have become operational, respectively, is very low.
Over the last couple of years, lots of discussion has gone into the integration issue, but I am not really sure what providing fully integrated GPS capability really means. What I do know is the user needs all three segments (satellite, ground command and control, and user equipment) to fully utilize new system capability. I also know that system integration comes in two forms. First and foremost from a technical design standpoint. This allows individual segments to be delivered independently but with high confidence the system will operate when all three elements arrive. This gives flexibility to the dynamics associated with budgets, policy decisions, requirements changes, unexpected technical hurdles, launch availability, and weapon platform availability for integration and testing (just to name a few variables). Rest assured the GPS enterprise is integrated at the technical level. However, it’s the second form of integration that gets all the attention: having all segments delivered in a reasonable proximity to each other. Not to make excuses, but as it relates to GPS, this is just hard to accomplish because it involves a span of control and accountability that is almost infinite. Many in the community recognize this reality, which has allowed the Air Force to set appropriate and realistic expectations so real capability can be delivered.
That being said, there are prudent things that can and are being done to speed the deployment of capability and set appropriate expectations. The most significant has been to broadcast the M-Code, L2C, and soon L5 signals from space to allow civil and military user equipment manufacturers to begin development and testing of their next generation of receivers. This gives industry a jump while the U.S. Air Force continues to develop the C2 capability and the next-generation signal monitoring capability (required to ensure signal in space performance integrity). Also, building the modernization programs with a strong mission assurance foundation is a major step forward. We understand the lessons learned that established the baseline for the current Block II systems delivery; the Block III systems are built on a solid acquisition strategy of reduced risk and increase execution confidence.
DJ: What do you see as one of the biggest GPS enterprise challenges, and what are some of your thoughts on the way ahead?
DM: That’s easy, Don: ensuring global PNT services are not interrupted as the United States continues to modernize GPS. If we don’t continue to develop a more robust means of ensuring user equipment compatibility, even a small number of non-system-compatible receivers (military or civilian) can significantly delay the delivery of critical modernized capability for everyone. Let me explain and provide some thoughts.
Since its initial design in the early 1970s, GPS has evolved in both capability and complexity. In the early days, systems engineering across the space, control, and user segments was relatively straightforward. The GPS Joint Program Office developed all military user equipment, and was able to rigorously ensure all specifications were verified prior to fielding. Over the past 20 years, however, GPS has become ubiquitous throughout the Department of Defense, with tailored satellite navigation solutions developed and acquired by dozens of program offices to support hundreds of unique requirements. Meanwhile, commercial GPS is one of the foundations of the Information Age, with GPS receivers produced in quantities approaching half a billion devices per year. The model of simply providing policies, standards, and interface control documents without providing a means to certify receiver compliance is becoming more challenging due to the continued growth in both military and civil applications for PNT, the competitive nature associated with user system applications and performance, and the increased complexity of GPS. Furthermore, it is especially difficult fielding upgrades to an established system like GPS while maintaining backwards compatibility with previously fielded equipment. These challenges are further exacerbated by difficulties associated with synchronizing the lengthy timelines associated with fielding ground-segment, satellite, and user equipment upgrades.
Recent highly isolated incidents, involving civilian and military receiver and other manufacturers, have highlighted the significant impact a very small number of receivers experiencing compatibility issues can have on the entire enterprise of worldwide users. In addition, a number of cases associated with improper receiver integration into major weapon systems have delayed system fielding as well not allowed the weapon system to best optimize GPS to the overall weapon systems performance.
Therefore, it is my opinion, to ensure worldwide PNT services are not interrupted as we continue to modernize the GPS, a more robust means of ensuring compatibility needs to be explored. (I would like to stop and make a note here: by “we” I mean all the DoD and civil agency stakeholders.) This means we need to not only continue to release “building codes” but we need to develop a capability to be more involved in the development, integration, and testing of new military and possibly civil user equipment.
We have recently taken a number of big steps in this direction.
First, we are currently significantly increasing the number of civil and military GPS receivers in our government testing labs. This will enable us to run tests against a wider variety of receivers, to gain higher confidence before we deploy system upgrades.
Second, we recognize that we need to ensure that our signal specifications, for both military and civil users, are as clear as we can make them. User-community representatives are already encouraged to be full participants in appropriate interface-control working groups. We further recognize that there is no substitute for thorough testing, and hence fully appreciate the importance of deploying signal-in-space capabilities as early as possible, on predictable schedules, so user equipment can be field-tested prior to market release or operational deployment.
Third, we are developing new upgrade fielding methodology whereby when we deploy system upgrades, we will take a more methodical approach and, whenever possible, field upgrades to smaller segments of receivers to prove compatibility without exposing all operational assets simultaneously. We will also apply a new software sustainment model to future military GPS user equipment, to ensure that inevitable system changes are systematically and rigorously executed with minimal impact on DOD programs.
Finally, we are investigating the establishment of something similar to an underwriters laboratory service to help support military programs with integrating GPS into their weapon systems during development. The teams associated with such lab services would support program design reviews as well as help develop the validation criteria for overall system acceptance. In addition, we are also starting discussions with key GPS civil receiver developers on how we might be able to provide a similar service to commercial receiver developers (potential fee-for-service type model).
Don, I highly recommend we continue to develop the four efforts I just mentioned but also dedicate significant time to critical thinking events to ensure we have minimized the risk of a widespread receiver issue, delays in delivering modernized capabilities, or sub-optimized weapon system performance. Manufacturers of equipment adversely affected by recent GPS upgrades have significantly stepped up their interactions with the GPS program office to resolve the compatibility issue and are playing a major role in providing an upgrade to their affected receivers to correct the issue. To date, no operational weapon systems have had to be grounded or civil capability degraded. I encourage the GPS community to treat recent events as a call to arms. GPS has become a critical national and international utility but it is much more complex than the electric or telephone services. How military or civil GPS receivers are designed, developed, and integrated into systems has a significant impact on the overall performance or lack of performance of the system. Don’t let recent events be a lesson not learned; let’s lead and solve the risk before it becomes an issue.
DJ: These are all excellent ideas, Dave, and many of them we have discussed in the past as concepts. It sounds like many of them are now a work in progress, but since you won’t be around to shepherd them into fruition, just what sort of prudent advice would you give Colonel Bernie Gruber as he assumes command of the GPS Wing?
DM: First and foremost, listen to your people — we have a great team! They are skilled professionals who really care about GPS. Second, keep the MGUE program focused and moving forward.
DJ: I certainly hope at a minimum that Bernie listens to your advice on MGUE. Now, Dave, when will the GPS Wing transition back to a Joint Program office, and what affect will this have on the military personnel working GPS? Will this re-designation be detrimental to their careers and future plans for the JPO? Will it lessen the GPS Wing’s/JPO’s influence in the GPS community and with other services?
DM: Don, we are scheduled to complete the transition and stand-up as the GPS Directorate on October 1, 2010. The Center is having one inactivation ceremony for all the Wings in SMC on September 8. The transition will be seamless and have a minimal effect on our military personnel. Our senior leadership is working on ensuring our materiel leader positions have group or squadron commander equivalency and will also be command-screened and boarded. There will not be very much difference within the Wing on a day-to-day basis. For the most part, the work, responsibility, and accountability will remain intact. The re-designation will have very little detriment upon the careers of the officers within the Wing. The officers' records will show a transition and re-designation to explain the change, and that it is no cause of their own. As far as future plans for the organization, the strength of the leadership here in the Wing will still be in place and will be just as effective as it is now to lead each individual in our organization and to move forward and progress in GPS capabilities into the next era. Other services will still look to us to continue to forge advancements in GPS satellites so that our influence in the world's GPS community will remain the standard: stronger than ever. Our organization will continue to acquire and sustain global navigation, positioning and timing services for our war fighters and civil users. We'll still be the Green Monsters everyone knows and loves!
DJ: What message would you like to leave with our readers as you move on from GPS to the milsatcom community?
DM: GPS is in great hands. I look forward to the challenges ahead.
DJ: Any final comments, Dave?
DM: It has truly been a pleasure leading the GPS Team — my best job in 30 years of service. And you, Don, have also been a welcome friend.
GPS improves the quality of life for everyone on the planet. It saves lives both on the battlefield and in our cities and towns across the globe. The U.S Air Force and Air Force Space Command have been the diligent stewards of GPS since program inception in the 1970s and continue its commitment to this critical component of our national infrastructure. The current GPS constellation has the most satellites and the greatest capability ever. We are committed to maintaining our current level of service, as well as striving to improve service and capability through ongoing modernization efforts. The Air Force will continue to pursue an achievable path maintaining GPS as the premier provider of positioning, navigation and timing for military and civilian users around the world.
DJ: Dave, everyone at GPS World wishes you the best of luck in your future endeavors, and thank you for your honesty and candid responses to our inquiries through the years. You were the leader the GPS Wing needed for the last three plus years and you have left a legacy of which you can be justly proud. Newtown, Pa., August 20th, 2010 -- The Lockheed Martin [NYSE: LMT] team developing the U.S. Air Force’s next generation Global Positioning System, known as GPS III, has successfully completed the program’s Critical Design Review (CDR) phase two months ahead of the baseline schedule. CDR completion, the program’s most significant milestone to-date, validates the detailed GPS III design to ensure it meets warfighter and civil requirements, and allows the program to begin the production phase.
More than 350 representatives from the U.S. Air Force Global Positioning Systems Wing, the GPS III contractor team, as well as user communities from the Department of Defense, Air Force Space Command, the Department of Transportation and the Federal Aviation Administration participated in a four-day Space Vehicle CDR at Lockheed Martin Space Systems Company’s new Patriot Center in Newtown, Pa.
Completion of the CDR phase represents the culmination of many rigorous assembly, subsystem, element, space vehicle and system level CDR events and validates the overall design maturity of the GPS III Space Vehicle and Lockheed Martin’s readiness to enter production.
"With a focus on strong systems engineering and program management fundamentals, the team successfully executed a high-quality design review, which included 65 detailed CDR events,” said Col. Bernard J. Gruber, U.S. Air Force GPS Wing Commander. “Having completed the milestone ahead of schedule with excellent results, the program is on firm footing, and I am confident the team will successfully deliver this critical next generation system to enhance GPS capabilities for millions of military and civilian users around the globe.”
GPS III will improve position, navigation and timing services and provide advanced anti-jam capabilities yielding superior system security, accuracy and reliability. The next generation GPS IIIA satellites will guarantee signals three times more accurate than current GPS spacecraft and provide three times more power for military users, while also adding a new civil signal (L1C) that is designed to be interoperable with other global navigation satellite systems. The GPS IIIA flexible design will allow for low-risk, reliable and affordable capability insertion for the future GPS IIIB and IIIC spacecraft.
“This successful review demonstrated with high confidence that our low-risk GPS III design will meet warfighter and civil user requirements and that we are fully prepared to enter the production phase of this vitally important program,” said Joe Trench, Lockheed Martin's vice president of Navigation Systems. “Working in partnership with the Air Force, we look forward to building on our momentum to achieve our customer's cost, schedule and performance requirements for this essential program."
Lockheed Martin, Newtown, Pa., along with teammates ITT of Clifton, N.J., and General Dynamics of Scottsdale, Ariz., is working under a $3 billion Development and Production contract awarded by the Global Positioning Systems Wing of the U.S. Air Force Space and Missile Systems Center, Los Angeles, Calif., which includes production of up to 12 GPS IIIA satellites. ИСТОРИЧЕСКИЙ ЭКСКУРС
Зарождение радиоэлектронной борьбы (РЭБ) в Вооруженных Силах России (15 апреля1904 года) было связано с необходимостью нарушения радиосвязи как средства управления силами флота противника в ходе войны с Японией. Как во время Русско-японской, так и в годы Первой мировой войны объектами РЭБ были только средства радиосвязи, используемые для управления войсками и силами флота противника. В дальнейшем, особенно во время Второй мировой войны и в последующие годы, не только средства радиосвязи, но и другие радиоэлектронные (радиолокационные, радионавигационные, оптико-электронные) средства (РЭС) стали технической основой различных систем управления войсками (силами) и оружием.
Этим было вызвано широкое развитие способов и технических средств противодействия всем указанным радиоэлектронным средствам. В итоге развернулась настоящая радиоэлектронная борьба, главная цель которой заключалась в том, чтобы добиться превосходства систем управления своими войсками (силами) и оружием над аналогичными системами противника.
Предполагалось, что превосходство может быть достигнуто прежде всего радиоэлектронным подавлением (РЭП), то есть созданием радиоэлектронных помех системам управления войсками (силами) и оружием противника. Организацией радиоэлектронного подавления как основной (в те годы) составной части РЭБ в штабах объединений и соединений ВС занимались органы РЭБ, носившие названия: в 1940-50 годах - управления (отделы, группы) радиопомех, радиомешания, радиопротиводействия, а в 1960-е годы - БРЭСП (борьбы с радиоэлектронными средствами противника).
С учетом расширения арсенала средств и методов противодействия радиоэлектронным средствам систем управления противника и радиоэлектронной защиты своих систем управления в начале 1970-х годов в наших Вооруженных Силах была создана Служба РЭБ. Функции ее существенно расширились. Наряду с радиоэлектронным подавлением на Службу РЭБ были возложены задачи по противодействию иностранным техническим разведкам (ПД ИТР) в мирное время, по противодействию техническим средствам разведки противника в военное время, по обеспечению радиочастотной службы и электромагнитной совместимости (ЭМС) своих радиоэлектронных средств. Однако с тех пор до настоящего времени не устранены существенные противоречия в оперативно-тактических взглядах, касающихся таких составных частей РЭБ, как радиоэлектронная разведка в интересах организации и ведения РЭБ, поражение радиоэлектронных объектов и противодействие техническим средствам разведки противника. По этим вопросам назрела необходимость в порядке обсуждения высказать некоторые соображения.
РАЗВЕДКА В ИНТЕРЕСАХ ОРГАНИЗАЦИИ И ВЕДЕНИЯ РЭБ
Основным руководящим оперативным документом МО еще в конце 70-х годов справедливо определено, что в комплекс мероприятий РЭБ входит выявление радиоэлектронных объектов в системах управления противника. В связи с этим трудно объяснить, почему в руководящих документах по РЭБ до последнего времени (то есть на протяжении более 25 лет) в качестве составной части РЭБ не рассматривается радиоэлектронная разведка систем управления и РЭС противника. Действительно, без предварительной разведки таких радиоэлектронных объектов (выполняемой в основном разведывательными частями, а также подразделениями и средствами разведки частей РЭБ) невозможна организация радиоэлектронной борьбы в период подготовки боевых действий. А без исполнительной (непосредственной) разведки РЭС противника, выполняемой в основном с помощью разведаппаратуры комплексов радиоэлектронного подавления и комплексов самонаводящегося на излучение РЭС оружия, невозможно ведение радиоэлектронной борьбы в ходе боевых действий.

То есть повторялась трактовка ранее применявшегося термина БРЭСП, который по своему содержанию не является адекватным термину РЭБ. Именно поэтому в начале 70-х годов вместо БРЭСП введен термин РЭБ с одновременным переименованием (преобразованием) органов БРЭСП в Службу РЭБ. Однако, несмотря на отказ от термина БРЭСП, второй подход в качестве официального действовал вплоть до конца 80-х годов. При этом, как и в первом случае, никакие огневые средства не рассматривались в качестве средств РЭБ.
Более логичным был бы третий вариант, заключающийся в том, что составной частью РЭБ, наряду с радиоэлектронным подавлением, является огневое поражение РЭС противника оружием, наводящимся на их электромагнитное излучение, то есть поражение радиоэлектронных объектов теми огневыми комплексами (системами), в которых для наведения и самонаведения используются бортовые радиоэлектронные средства, в том числе устанавливаемые на самолетах разведывательные радиоприемные устройства и устанавливаемые на ракетах (снарядах) радиолокационные и тепловые (инфракрасные) головки самонаведения. В 60-х гг. на вооружение американских ВВС было принято такое оружие, в частности ракеты класса "воздух-РЛС" типа "Шрайк" и "Стандарт" ARM, которые, согласно официальным взглядам военного командования США и стран НАТО, рассматриваются как средства радиоэлектронной войны (РЭВ).
Ракеты такого же класса примерно в те же годы приняты на вооружение наших ВВС. Это обусловлено тем, что дезорганизация управления войсками и оружием современных систем ПВО противника (с входящими в их состав помехоустойчивыми РЛС) могла быть достигнута только при условии комплексного применения средств радиоэлектронного подавления и самонаводящихся ракет "воздух-РЛС" в сочетании с другими огневыми средствами и различными тактическими приемами.
Кроме этого, анализ уровня развития зарубежных и отечественных авиационных средств РЭБ в годы Второй мировой войны и в послевоенные (особенно 1950-70 годы) свидетельствовал о явном отставании наших средств. Причем и в последние годы, несмотря на имеющиеся успешные разработки, технологический разрыв в основном из-за финансовых затруднений не уменьшается. Так, например, наши самолетные станции активных помех (для подавления РЛС обнаружения воздушных целей, наведения истребителей и целеуказания зенитных ракетных и зенитных артиллерийских комплексов) уступают аналогичным зарубежным станциям по основным характеристикам: перекрываемому диапазону частот, излучаемой мощности, быстродействию. При этом наши станции помех отличаются большими габаритами и массой, вследствие чего на самолетах-постановщиках помех количество устанавливаемых таких станций в 3-4 раза меньше, чем на зарубежных самолетах того же назначения. Наши самолеты-постановщики помех оснащены только средствами активных и пассивных помех, в то время как зарубежные, наряду с такими средствами помех, вооружены также двумя-четырьмя самонаводящимися ракетами класса "воздух-РЛС" типа "Стандарт" ARM, HARM.
Такие ракеты широко применялись в локальных войнах в Юго-Восточной Азии и на Ближнем Востоке. Опыт боевых действий американской и израильской авиации свидетельствует, что в результате радиоэлектронного подавления и поражения радиоэлектронных объектов ПВО противника самонаводящимся на излучение РЭС оружием (в сочетании с другими огневыми средствами и тактическими приемами) резко снижается эффективность всей его системы ПВО. Как следствие - резко сокращаются потери нападающей авиации. Так, например, потери американской авиации во Вьетнаме в 1970-1972 гг. снизились в 5-7 раз и составили в среднем 1,7% (на 1000 с/вылетов 17 сбитых самолетов). Потери израильской авиации в октябре 1973 г. составили менее 1%. При этом важно отметить, что достаточно высокая эффективность авиационных средств РЭБ достигнута при относительно небольших затратах. По оценке зарубежных специалистов, стоимость самолетных средств РЭБ не превышала 10-15 % от всей стоимости самолета.
По аналогии с зарубежными взглядами отечественные ракеты класса "воздух-РЛС" и их носители-самолеты с достаточным основанием можно отнести к средствам радиоэлектронной борьбы. Однако такая точка зрения до настоящего времени, то есть на протяжении 40 лет после появления ракет класса "воздух-РЛС" на вооружении зарубежных и отечественных ВВС, почти не находила отражения в военно-научных трудах, учебниках, статьях, а главное - в руководящих документах по РЭБ.
Характерным в этом отношении примером является статья генерал-лейтенанта Палия "Радиоэлектронная борьба: прошлое, настоящее и будущее" ("Военная мысль" # 5, 2004). В статье изложен устаревший подход к вопросу о содержании РЭБ. Претендуя на раскрытие существа РЭБ на всех отмеченных в статье пяти этапах ее становления и развития в ВС России, автор считает составными частями РЭБ только радиоэлектронное подавление РЭС противника (то есть с помощью радиопомех) и радиоэлектронную защиту своих РЭС от преднамеренных и взаимных помех, не упоминая при этом ни поражения радиоэлектронных объектов противника самонаводящимся на их излучение оружием, ни защиту своих РЭС от самонаводящегося оружия противника, ни радиоэлектронной разведки в интересах организации и ведения РЭБ. Предложенную автором трактовку содержания РЭБ можно считать приемлемой только для первых 60 лет столетнего периода становления и развития РЭБ в ВС России, то есть до появления ракет класса "воздух-РЛС" в 60-х годах прошлого столетия.
Несмотря на то, что до самого последнего времени автор рассматриваемой статьи не считает составной частью РЭБ поражение РЭС противника самонаводящимся на излучение оружием, он утверждает: "Радиоэлектронная борьба со времени зарождения превратилась в один из важнейших способов вооруженной борьбы". Такое утверждение не отражает истинного содержания РЭБ прежде всего в течение нескольких десятилетий до появления ракет "воздух-РЛС". Кроме того, только после их появления и признания в качестве средств радиоэлектронной борьбы и лишь одну из ее составных частей - поражение радиоэлектронных объектов) - было бы основание увязать с вооруженной борьбой.
Из приведенных соображений видно, что процесс официального (в руководящих документах по РЭБ) признания поражения радиоэлектронных объектов самонаводящимся на излучение оружием в качестве составной части РЭБ затянулся на многие годы после появления ракет "воздух-РЛС". И это несмотря на то, что в основных руководящих оперативных документах МО, изданных как в конце 70-х , так и два года назад, ракеты класса "воздух-РЛС" справедливо включены в перечень средств РЭБ. Объяснить такое несоответствие можно тем, что руководители Управления РЭБ Генштаба, возглавлявшие в 70-80 гг. разработку концепции развития РЭБ в Вооруженных силах, придерживались устаревших взглядов 50-х гг. прошлого столетия и проявили тенденциозность, не оценив своевременность и необходимость корректировки взглядов на содержание РЭБ. Не случайно один из руководящих участников разработки в 70-80 гг. концепции развития РЭБ выступил в мае 2004 г. с упомянутой выше противоречивой статьей, содержащей взаимоисключающие суждения и выводы в отношении содержания, роли и места РЭБ в боевых действиях ВС. И вот следствие такого устаревшего, неадекватного подхода: до настоящего времени остаются существенные и неоправданные противоречия между руководящими документами по РЭБ (изд. 1989 г.) и основным руководящим оперативным документом МО РФ (изд. 2003 г.).
Дополнительным аргументом, подтверждающим правомерность считать поражение радиоэлектронных объектов в качестве составной части РЭБ, могут быть сообщения зарубежной и отечественной печати о новых видах электронного (электромагнитного) оружия, характеризующего начало наступающей "эпохи войн новейших технологий". Такие виды оружия разработаны преимущественно в США и предназначены для поражения как радиоэлектронных, так и нерадиоэлектронных объектов. Так, в 1998 г. была частично введена в строй система электромагнитного оружия HAARP, а в 1999 г. испытано электронное оружие высокой мощности HPMW. ----------------------------------------------------------------------

ПРОТИВОДЕЙСТВИЕ ТЕХНИЧЕСКИМ СРЕДСТВАМ РАЗВЕДКИ ПРОТИВНИКА (ПД ТСР)
Возложенные на Службу РЭБ функции по организации ПД ТСР в мирное время следует считать вполне оправданными, поскольку в мирное время для добывания интересующей информации иностранные разведки стараются широко использовать средства радиоэлектронной разведки, противодействие которым может осуществляться в рамках радиоэлектронной борьбы и при организующей роли Службы РЭБ. Однако вряд ли стоило на протяжении последних более чем 25 лет рассматривать ПД ТСР в качестве составной части РЭБ в военное время. Дело в том, что ПД ТСР по существу представляет собой основное содержание проводимой в военное время маскировки, то есть другого важного вида оперативного и боевого обеспечения. ПД ТСР предполагается осуществлять тремя способами: путем скрытия, технической дезинформации и спецзащиты ТСПИ (технических средств обработки и передачи информации). Все эти способы представляют собой известные способы маскировки (скрытие, дезинформация, имитация). Задачи и мероприятия по маскировке (то есть и по ПД ТСР) разрабатываются оперативными управлениями штабов объединений ВС в планах стратегической или оперативной маскировки в соответствующих операциях, например, в стратегической операции на ТВД, в воздушной или фронтовой операции. По аналогии с мероприятиями по радиоэлектронной защите своих РЭС в планах родов войск, специальных войск и служб в соответствии с планом стратегической или оперативной маскировки предусматриваются задачи и мероприятия, касающиеся применения сил и средств этих родов войск и служб (например, мероприятия по противорадиолокационной, радио- и радиотехнической маскировке).
Необходимо также учитывать, что не все технические средства разведки являются объектами РЭБ. Например, существующие средства химической, биологической (бактериологической), визуально-оптической и фоторазведки не могут быть объектами РЭБ, так как в качестве датчиков не имеют каких-либо радиоэлектронных устройств. --------------------------------------------------
В рамках РЭБ решаются не все задачи ПД ТСР, а только определенная часть их, то есть задачи по противодействию радиоэлектронным средствам разведки, выполняемые с целью повышения эффективности маскировки своих войск (сил) и объектов. Причем в плане РЭБ и в других документах Службы РЭБ предусматриваются даже не все задачи по противодействию радиоэлектронным средствам разведки противника, поскольку, как указано выше, значительная часть их (по противорадиолокационной, радио- и радиотехнической маскировке) решается по планам родов войск, специальных войск и служб объединений ВС.
Проводимые Службой РЭБ мероприятия по противодействию средствам радиоэлектронной разведки противника вполне вписываются в рамки радиоэлектронной защиты и радиоэлектронного подавления, то есть в рамки давно признанных составных частей РЭБ. Это означает, что нет необходимости в качестве составной части РЭБ в военное время рассматривать ПД ТСР, осуществляемое как радиоэлектронными, так и нерадиоэлектронными методами и средствами.
Изложенные соображения показывают, что содержанием радиоэлектронной борьбы следовало бы считать четыре составные части.
Две из них - радиоэлектронное подавление и поражение радиоэлектронных объектов противника самонаводящимися огневыми средствами (а в перспективе также поражение их и нерадиоэлектронных объектов электронным оружием) -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
-характеризуют наступательную сторону РЭБ. --------------------------------------------------------------
Оборонительную сторону РЭБ характеризует третья ее составная часть - радиоэлектронная защита своих радиоэлектронных средств и других объектов от радиоэлектронной разведки, преднамеренных и взаимных помех, от самонаводящихся огневых средств и от электронного оружия противника. Четвертой составной частью РЭБ, обеспечивающей три упомянутые составные части, является радиоэлектронная разведка радиоэлектронных средств (включая и средства РЭБ) противника в интересах организации и ведения РЭБ.
Рассматривая содержание радиоэлектронной борьбы, целесообразно исходить из того очевидного условия, что каждая ее составляющая часть должна опираться на вполне определенные средства и комплексы, основанные на использовании радиоэлектронных методов. Не претендуя на полноту освещения этого вопроса, к типовым комплексам (системам) и средствам, составляющим технику РЭБ Вооруженных сил, можно отнести:
- для решения задач поражения радиоэлектронных объектов противника - самонаводящееся на излучение авиационное и ракетно-артиллерийское оружие, а в перспективе также новые виды электронного оружия;
- для решения задач радиоэлектронного подавления радиоэлектронных средств и систем противника - средства активных и пассивных помех, ложные цели, радиолокационные и тепловые (инфракрасные) ловушки;
- для радиоэлектронной защиты - встроенные устройства в составе различных РЭС для защиты их от радиоэлектронных помех; специальные передатчики, уводящие на себя от защищаемых РЭС самонаводящиеся на излучение ракеты противника; средства радиоэлектронной защиты от перспективных видов электронного оружия; радиопоглощающие и радиорассеивающие покрытия, лазерные и уголковые радиолокационные отражатели (для противодействия радиоэлектронной разведке противника); средства радиоэлектронного контроля в составе подразделений комплексного технического контроля (для обеспечения противодействия радиоэлектронной разведке противника и электромагнитной совместимости РЭС);
- для разведки в интересах организации и ведения РЭБ - находящиеся в составе отдельных разведывательных частей и в составе подразделений разведки частей РЭБ средства предварительной радиоэлектронной разведки систем управления и РЭС противника; средства исполнительной (непосредственной) радиоэлектронной разведки в составе комплексов радиоэлектронного подавления и комплексов (систем) самонаводящегося на излучение оружия; средства разведки и анализа радиоэлектронных помех.
Учитывая опыт локальных войн и возрастание роли и места РЭБ в будущих операциях и боевых действиях, руководством Министерства обороны в 70-е годы проведена целенаправленная работа по оснащению войск новой техникой РЭБ и по дополнительному формированию отдельных частей и подразделений РЭБ. Однако в конце 80-х и в 90-е годы, в обстановке экономического развала страны, финансовых трудностей и сокращения ВС, в несколько раз уменьшилось производство техники РЭБ, а также количество частей и подразделений РЭБ в войсках. В результате в ВС произошло резкое сокращение потенциала РЭБ, для восстановления которого потребуются значительные усилия и материальные затраты, направляемые прежде всего на создание принципиально новых средств РЭБ и на внедрение их в войска.
Принимая во внимание возможности существующих и перспективных средств РЭБ, включая авиационное и ракетно-артиллерийское самонаводящееся на излучение оружие, а также новые виды электронного оружия, можно сделать вывод, что радиоэлектронная борьба из вида оперативного и боевого обеспечения все более превращается в важнейшую составную часть боевых действий, ход и исход которых будет во многом определяться потенциалом РЭБ.
ЗАКЛЮЧЕНИЕ
Рассмотренные вопросы свидетельствуют, что проблема радиоэлектронной борьбы в наших ВС была и остается актуальной. Учитывая опыт столетнего становления и развития радиоэлектронной борьбы, особенно опыт разработки в 70-80 гг. концепции развития РЭБ, а также последствия снижения за последние 15-20 лет производства техники РЭБ и сокращения численности частей и подразделений РЭБ в Вооруженных силах, в настоящее время и в ближайшие годы представляется весьма важным:
во-первых, выработать единое оперативно-тактическое понимание содержания радиоэлектронной борьбы, роли и места ее в современной войне, а также порядка ее организации в операциях и боевых действиях войск;
во-вторых, уточнить направленность единой технической политики в области РЭБ, особенно при разработке современных средств радиоэлектронного подавления, авиационного и ракетно-артиллерийского самонаводящегося на излучение обычного оружия, а также новых видов электронного оружия;
в-третьих, преодолеть отставание потенциала РЭБ отечественных Вооруженных сил от аналогичного потенциала вооруженных сил развитых зарубежных стран, в связи с чем первостепенное значение приобретает приоритетное развитие и финансирование средств и комплексов (систем) РЭБ, соответствующих НИР, ОКР и целевых программ, касающихся производства, испытаний, оснащения боевой техники средствами РЭБ, развертывания необходимой численности частей и подразделений РЭБ в составе видов ВС и родов войск.

Так, например, в диапазоне метровых волн наземные GLQ – 3A, VLQ – 12 и переносные PLQ – 2 станции заградительных радиопомех обладают спек- тральной плотностью мощности помех свыше 100 Вт/МГц и могут создавать помеховый сигнал в полосе приемника СБРЛ, превышающий полезный на несколько порядков. Ана- логичная ситуация наблюдается в диапазоне дециметровых и сантиметровых радиоволн, где помимо проблемы помехоустойчивости зачастую возникает проблема с электромаг- нитной совместимостью СБРЛ с различными радиолокационными, навигационными сис- темами и системами связи и управления. Поэтому перспективным представляется переход в миллиметровый диапазон волн (ММДВ), основные достоинства которого связаны с наличием в нем спектральных "окон затухания" радиоволн и возможность использования в габаритах СБРЛ направленных ан- тенн. В отличие от метрового и дециметрового диапазонов, где затухание в чистой атмо- сфере не превышает 0,01 дБ/км, в ММДВ на длине волны λ=5 мм поглощение составляет 18 дБ/км, что существенно затрудняет постановку активных помех в этом частотном диа- пазоне на физическом уровне.

The GPS jamming analysis in the previous articles has been fairly informal and elemen- tary. This section will tighten up the analytical techniques to be used before proceeding.
The nominal minimum GPS receiver base bandwidth of 50 Hz has been used for purpos- es of calculating noise and jamming interference power levels so far in this series. This approach was initially adopted for conceptual simplicity. But by this point, the reader is aware that different GPS functions employ varying bandwidth processes. Sometimes even the same function employs variable adaptive bandwidth filtering techniques, as in the case of the carrier/code tracking loops. To avoid the necessity of computing separate interfer- ence levels for the multiple bandwidths employed in GPS receivers, it is common to refer- ence such computations to a 1 Hz bandwidth. --------------------------------------------------------------------

Большинство МБР требуют внешней эталонной системы для сохранения синхронизации ИНС с внешним миром до старта. Обратная сторона такой экстремальной точности - огромная сложность и стоимость. AIRS состоит из 19 000 деталей. В 1989 году один акселерометр, используемый в AIRS (всего их там три), стоил 300 000 долларов и требовал полгода на сборку. Очень мало приложений требуют одновременно такую точность управления и независимость от внешних референсных систем управления. Фактически, кроме стратегических межконтинентальных ракет, она не нужна нигде. Если исключить требование полной автономности, то чрезвычайно высокую точность можно получить и при гораздо меньшей цене и массе. Например, появившиеся спутниковые навигационные системы (GPS, GLONASS) позволяют иметь сантиметровый уровень точности в течении неограниченного периода времени с легким и недорогим приемником. Космические аппараты нуждаются в очень точной навигации, но достигают ее при внешнем управлении. Даже новые программы по системам наведения ядерного оружия показывают готовность пожертвовать автономностью ради стоимости и веса. Предложенная программа BIOS (система оптимизации бомбового удара), делающая бомбы B-61 корректируемыми, использует GPS взамен ИНС. Такая конкуренция со стороны систем внешнего позиционирования ведет к закату ИНС по изложенным выше причинам.
Особенности. Самая оригинальная сторона в AIRS - она не содержит карданных подвесов. Смысл кардана состоит в том, что имея три оси вращения, подвешенная в нем платформа может свободно поворачиваться во всех направлениях (и таким образом, установленный на нем гироскоп будет сохранять свою изначально заданную ориентацию). AIRS содержит бериллиевую сферу, которая свободно плавает в жидком фторуглероде внутри внешней оболочки и потому вращается в любом направлении. Важность этого нововведения в том, что оно исключает стопор кардана (состояние, когда две из трех осей гироскопа выстраиваются на одну линию и делают невозможным трехмерное его вращение) и освобождает от ограничений на диапазон углов отклонения, присущих некоторым конструкциям рамок гироскопов. Температура жидкости поддерживается с очень высокой точностью путем переноса тепла от нее через силовую оболочку к охлаждаемым фреоном теплообменникам. Положение сферы контролируется тремя гидродинамическими клапанами, управляемыми инерциальными датчиками в сфере. Как и в остальных инерциальных системах, в сфере помещены три акселерометра и гироскопа. Акселерометр называется SFIR (особый интегрирующий датчик силы), и использует такой же метод как и PIGA (маятниковой интегрирующий гироакселерометр) ракет Minuteman II. SFIR/PIGA работают, измеряя скорость прецессии (и, соответственно, прикладываемую силу) гироскопа перпендикулярно его оси вращения. Гироскоп подвешен на газостатических подшипниках. Разработка. AIRS была по большей части эволюционной технологией. Основные идеи измерительных устройств (акселерометров и гироскопов) являются прямыми потомками ИНС более ранних МБР, таких как Minuteman II. Processing Gain
The second major antijamming strategy involves processing gain improvement. The GPS spread-spectrum signal derives some inherent jam protection from the "despreading" process, which converts it from a 20-megahertz bandwidth to a narrower bandwidth.
Signal power grows stronger as bandwidth is reduced, so for maximum antijam performance, the narrowest possible bandwidth should be used in the despreading process. ******************************************************
Just how narrow the bandwidth can be depends in part on the design of the code and carrier tracking loops used by the GPS receiver and the dynamic operating environment. Recall that a GPS receiver gets a signal from a satellite, generates a local copy, and compares the two to derive range and range-rate measurements. The tracking loops try to maintain a "lock" on the satellite signal by driving the difference in the signals (as measured by the signal correlator) to zero.
In general, greater antijam performance can be achieved by narrowing the bandwidth of these code and carrier tracking loops. Unfortunately, narrow tracking-loop bandwidths imply sluggish response time, and if a vehicle is undergoing high acceleration, the narrow-bandwidth tracking loop cannot keep pace. ***********************************************************************
If the tracking-loop bandwidth were widened, it would be more responsive to high acceleration, but it would not filter the noise as effectively. power inversion array antenna
In a power-inversion array antenna, the individual elements are geometrically arranged with an interelement spacing of one-half a GPS carrier wavelength. This arrangement is useful for applications where the desired signal is weak and the interference is strong.
One solution is to aid the tracking loops by supplying information about the vehicle's acceleration and the motion of the satellite to be tracked. This information could be supplied, for example, by an inertial navigation system and the GPS satellite almanac. With this supplemental information, the receiver's tracking loops can anticipate the dynamics along the line-of-sight to the satellite and use a narrow- bandwidth filter to process the fresh outputs from the signal correlators. If the aiding information is reasonably accurate, the bandwidth of the tracking loop can be narrowed because it will only need to track the errors in the aiding information (which vary slowly over time), rather than the absolute motion of the antenna.
The aided tracking loop, with its narrower bandwidth, provides more processing gain and more protection against jamming; however, it's still not enough to thwart a very strong jammer that may be close to the GPS navigation set. The limitations of aided tracking loops are more practical than theoretical: In actual implementation, the aiding information will contain numerous errors.
The most notable errors arise from two sources: imperfect implementation of the aiding data interface, and the inconsistency of the motion between the aiding sensor and the GPS antenna or "lever arm." (In most vehicles, the antenna and the aiding sensors are in different locations, and "lever-arm" compensation must be provided because the GPS antenna is not sensing the same motion as the aiding sensors.)
The first error source, the data interface, exists because traditional receivers are designed to use whatever inertial measurement unit is present on the host vehicle. (An inertial measurement unit—or IMU—is a set of gyros and accelerometers that feed the inertial navigation system in an aircraft or missile.) The GPS receiver and the host vehicle communicate over an asynchronous serial bus, and the designer of the GPS receiver usually does not accept the IMU data without "deweighting" it in some manner. This deweighting process can limit the achieved bandwidth reduction below theoretical levels and hence limit the antijam performance.
The second error source, lever-arm compensation, is unavoidable if the GPS antenna is not located with the IMU. Unfortunately, many factors—such as vehicle attitude, vehicle rotation, and body flexure—prevent perfect lever-arm compensation, even when the IMU is situated in the same box as the receiver. Hence, the bandwidth of the tracking loops must be wide enough to maintain GPS signal lock despite these factors—and this limits the antijam performance. In some applications, such as small weapons, the antenna is naturally close to the IMU and the body is rigid, so the lever-arm compensation is not as significant an error source as it is in avionics applications. New Approaches
To meet the future challenge of GPS applications that must operate in projected jamming environments, the GPS Joint Program Office is pursuing several promising technologies and a future GPS set architecture that will yield further improvements in antijam performance. Aerospace is actively involved in defining advanced architectures and technologies that will economically provide better antijam performance. Two approaches in particular are generating considerable interest in the field. Microelectromechanics
With the recent advances in microelectromechanical systems, new architecture concepts that were unimaginable five years ago have now come within reach. One such technology, the microelectromechanical IMU, will have a significant impact on the future design of user navigation sets.
As noted, the best way to reduce the bandwidth of the tracking loops (and thus improve antijam performance) is to keep the GPS antenna and the IMU together, thereby forcing the lever arm to zero. This placement eliminates the need for the lever-arm correction and its associated errors. Of course, when IMUs were first invented, they were very large, and although they've become smaller over the years, they remain large enough to require special attention concerning their placement in a host vehicle or missile. The ability to place an IMU in the same box with the GPS receiver was viewed as a significant step forward. But until recently, no one considered the possibility of embedding the IMU in the antenna itself. A jam resistant GPS antenna undergoes testing

That is precisely the thinking now being pursued under the leadership of Aerospace. The cost, size, and performance of microelectromechanical IMUs are improving to the point where they'll soon be good enough to embed in a GPS antenna. This new architecture overcomes many of the factors that prevented the narrowing of tracking-loop bandwidths in older systems. For example, because the IMU would be dedicated to the GPS set, a synchronous interface between the two could be designed with proper attention to interface errors and data latency. In addition, the placement of the IMU with the GPS antenna would make both sensors experience the same motion, so there would be no need for lever-arm compensation with its associated errors.
Although the accuracy of microelectromechanical IMUs cannot compete with more traditional technologies (such as those that use ring-laser gyros), accuracy is reaching a level that is adequate for aiding GPS. Extremely high accuracy is not required if the IMU error sources are reasonably stable because the navigation processing algorithm constantly estimates these low-bandwidth error sources and compensates accordingly.
In other words, it's the short-term stability of these instrument error sources that's important for aiding GPS. And although short-term stability errors can be sensitive to temperature and acceleration, compensation models whose coefficients are calibrated prior to operation can usually mitigate their effects. So, for short periods of time, errors in the microelectromechanical IMU approach acceptable levels for aiding GPS.
It should be noted that the microelectromechanical IMU is not meant to replace the IMU that may be present in the host vehicle. If there is a need for inertial navigation accuracy without GPS, then the microelectromechanical IMU would probably not satisfy that requirement. The microelectromechanical IMU is intended as part of the GPS navigation set (notice that the word "receiver" has not been used), and is present in the GPS antenna regardless of whether there is a need for an IMU by the host vehicle. Ultratight GPS/Inertial Coupling
Another technology has recently emerged to address the need for antijam performance. This new technique, called ultratight GPS/inertial coupling, is a different method to jointly process GPS and IMU data (see sidebar, GPS/Inertial Coupling). Several organizations throughout the United States have been performing research in this area, either through independent research and development funds or DOD research contracts. Although each approach is unique in its implementation, they all share certain common traits. For example, they all eliminate the code and carrier tracking operations, which are susceptible to jamming even when aided. All use estimated navigation parameters to generate the local replica signal needed to track the satellite signal. All directly use the correlator outputs (i.e., comparisons of the local and satellite signals) to compute the range and range-rate errors for the navigation processing algorithm. affects of jamming
This graph shows the effects of jamming on unprotected GPS performance. For example, at a jammer-to-signal ratio of about 55 decibels, a jammer located about 100 nautical miles from the receiver could jam the GPS signal through a 1-kilowatt signal. At 1000 nautical miles, 100 kilowatts would be required. (View larger image.)
Aerospace is an industry leader in ultratight coupling. Four years ago, Aerospace began to develop its formulation of ultratight coupling and filed for a U.S. patent. About the same time, Aerospace became aware of similar research being conducted at other companies and other patents that were pending. When the antijam potential of this processing approach was determined, Aerospace was instrumental in obtaining interest at the various DOD research laboratories to fund development programs.
Today, virtually all GPS vendors to DOD have contracts to pursue some sort of ultratight coupling. A milestone was reached in November 2001 when the first official government-sponsored test of an ultratight coupling formulation was conducted at Eglin Air Force Base. The antijam performance was slightly better than predicted. The test results essentially confirmed the performance that had been predicted at Aerospace using simulations. Currently, the Aerospace formulation is being implemented in a real-time computer. One GPS vendor has asked to license the Aerospace formulation, and many other companies are using it for studies. Summary
Future GPS systems—particularly for weapon delivery—will benefit from the optimal integration of GPS receivers with inertial measurement units and the use of adaptive processing algorithms and antennas that reject unwanted signal interference while maximizing the power of the desired satellite signal. The combination of all these technologies and the associated system architecture will be the blueprint for DOD GPS sets for the next several decades.
Many of the GPS antijam techniques and architectures that will be used in future equipment have roots at Aerospace, which has been the technical conscience of the program since its inception.

[edit] Military (M-code) A major component of the modernization process, a new military signal called M-code was designed to further improve the anti-jamming and secure access of the military GPS signals. The M-code is transmitted in the same L1 and L2 frequencies already in use by the previous military code, the P(Y) code. Alternatives to GPS are necessary for robust navigation solutions. In environments such as urban canyons, indoor applications, or areas with active jamming, non-GPS based position and velocity sensors must be used to obtain or aid navigation solutions. There are a number of sensors that have been used for navigation, however in many situations these sensors do not operate well. The addition of alternative sensors allows the navigation platform to operate under more diverse environmental conditions.
In our previous work, we developed an ultra-wide-band (UWB) orthogonal frequency division multiplexed (OFDM) radar system prototype [1] with 500MHz baseband bandwidth. -------------------------------------------------------------------------- The UWB-OFDM sensor exhibits many useful properties for navigation. Like other UWB systems, it has high resolution target ranging and localization when used as a synthetic aperture radar (SAR) [2]. The OFDM waveform has good potential for anti-jamming and multipath mitigation [3][4]. Using an active UWB-OFDM sensor allows for even greater anti-jamming capabilities over other sensors using RF signals of opportunity ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
. Since our prototype is software defined, the OFDM symbol is changeable on a pulse-to-pulse basis. This allows the spectrum of the signal to be modified in real time to avoid narrow-band interference, such as GPS. One obstacle in using UWB-OFDM for navigation is the high computational requirements for constructing SAR images in real-time. Our previous study developed an efficient algorithm for computing partial SAR images rapidly for real-time high resolution positioning of a small number of targets [5].
Recently, we developed and simulated a two-dimensional dead-reckoning navigation system based on an active, on-board UWB-OFDM sensor [6]. This initial work assumes that a single aerial vehicle (AV) moves along a fixed axis recording raw SAR data in a stripmap configuration, with random persistent scatterers located along the axis of travel. A sparse target SAR algorithm [5] was combined with a two-stage tracking and estimation algorithm to obtain both the AV and target positions in real time. In the first stage, the initial known positions of the AV and the AV-target range measurements obtained by the UWB-OFDM sensor are used to estimate targets locations. In the second stage, the newly estimated target positions are combined with existing and new range measurements to infer AV positions. Through this preliminary investigation, we demonstrated the feasibility of using the UWB-OFDM sensor as a navigation aid, under various ideal assumptions.
In this paper, we extend our previous work by making several drastic improvements. First, the two-stage estimation and tracking algorithm is replaced with a Kalman filter based approach. Second, an inertial navigation sensor is incorporated into the simulation. Third, more realistic models are used to replace some of the ideal assumptions used in previous study:
1. The persistent scatterers are replaced by conductive spheres modeled using Lorenz-Mie theory [7] to account for frequency-dependent distortion of the UWB waveform. 2. Swerling target models [8] are used to account for time-varying stochastic properties of the targetґs radar cross section. 3. The channel is modeled using realistic signal propagation path loss instead of a white Gaussian noise channel.
The paper presents the detailed implementation of new Kalman filter based estimation and tracking algorithm and analyzes the effects of the frequency and time dependent distortion in the measurement data due to the more realistic target and channel models. The estimated AV position is compared to the actual simulated flight distance. The position drift is calculated for varying conditions, such as target availability, target and channel model parameters, and received SNR. Performance evaluations demonstrate the robustness of the Kalman filter based approach. Quantitative comparisons of solutions generated by the new implementation with our previous two-stage approach will also be discussed.

RF Applications
Two RF applications are under development - a high linearity, high dynamic range RF receiver, targeting GPS receivers and a clock synchronization chipset, targeting backplane applications.
High Linearity, High Dynamic Range RF Receivers: A monolithic chip is under development to enable operation of GPS receivers in the presence of jamming sources. This technology is very enabling in the context of hand-held applications and GPS guided munitions, in which a compact design is of the essence.
The NTK-Ironman-01 is a complete dual-channel global positioning system (GPS) front-end down converter. This low power CMOS IC integrates a low-noise amplifier (LNA), image rejection mixer, automatic-gain-control amplifier (AGC), secondary mixer, and clock buffer. External IF, baseband filters, and ADCs enhance flexibility. The device supports C/A, P(Y), and M codes.
This device provides the most versatile integrated front-end available. Two independent down converters per channel (shown below) gives it a wide range of supported frequency plans. Each mixer utilizes an independent external COTS synthesizer to generate the local oscillator (LO). Further, each down converter can be used for high side or low side mixing and operate on L1 and L2 simultaneously. Alternatively, both down converters can operate only on L1, L2 or L5, as is necessary when used with an adaptive antenna array.
The digital AGC allows the receiver to accommodate multiple wideband and narrow band jammers having a total power up to -13 dBm without clipping.
The device supports multichannel digital adaptive anti-jam signal processors providing wideband cancellation in excess of 50 dB. When combined with a GPS signal processor providing 70 dB A/J the RF ASIC will support GPS tracking with 120 dB J/S.

This contract modification is part of a $450 million DAGR follow-on contract (FA8807-09-C-0002) announced March 18/09 by Rockwell Collins. The company received its first order from the USAF under the contract that same month: 53,920 DAGR receivers and accessories for $87.5 million.
The DAGR is a handheld GPS receiver that provides position, navigation and situational awareness for US troops.
The receiver provides precise timing to synchronize tactical radios, missile platforms and other situational awareness navigation systems and includes a Graphical User Interface (GUI) that provides ease of use.
The DAGR design incorporates anti-jam improvements and denied GPS capabilities for worldwide enhanced battlefield protection. It is the first US handheld GPS receiver program to include the Selective Availability Anti-Spoofing Module (SAASM) security device. The Rockwell Collins SAASM includes:

Effects of high-altitude nuclear explosions, summary:
The familiar immediate effects of low-altitude nuclear explosions are flash, blast, and prompt radiation. Effects are significantly different for explosions above most of the atmosphere. Since blast is the shock wave transmitted through air, this is attenuated with height and is absent for explosions beyond the atmosphere. Flash is the visible and infrared light pulse from the fireball formed from heated air. With higher altitude, the fireball formation is significantly altered with consequent effects on flash. Prompt radiation includes ionizing radiation from the nuclear reactions in the warhead and decay of fission products left by the explosion. These radiations, particularly neutron radiation, are significantly attenuated by the atmosphere for low altitude bursts. For explosions above most of the atmosphere, ranges of prompt radiation effects are greater than for atmospheric bursts.
Several effects are relatively unique to high altitude bursts:
* Electromagnetic pulse (EMP) is important only for high altitude bursts. For such detonations, ionization of the upper atmosphere can produce a brief intense pulse of radio frequency radiation which can damage or disrupt electronic devices. For explosions above most of the atmosphere, EMP can affect large areas. * Ionization of the atmosphere from explosions in the atmosphere can interfere with radar and radio communications for short periods. * Charged particles produced by explosions above the Earth's atmosphere can be captured by the Earth's magnetic field, temporarily creating artificial radiation belts that can damage spacecraft and injure astronauts/cosmonauts in orbit.

Минобороны получило на днях первую партию уникальных мобильных комплексов радиоэлектронной борьбы «Красуха-4», которые способны подавить радиолокационные спутники-шпионы, наземные радары и авиационные системы АВАКС (система дальнего радиолокационного обнаружения и управления — Airborne Warning and Control System, AWACS). По данным «Известий», пока в строй вступили четыре этих сверхсекретных комплекса.
— До конца года войска радиоэлектронной борьбы (РЭБ) в рамках гособоронзаказа получат еще несколько «Красух», которые послужат модулями для более сложных глобальных систем радиоэлектронного подавления, — отметил информированный источник «Известий».
В 2012 году военные закупили первые серийные образцы комплекса «Красуха-2», который имеет более узкую специализацию. Он заточен на противодействие только воздушным целям — системам дальней радиолокационной обороны АВАКС, летающим радарам типа американских Е-8 Joint Star, беспилотным летательным аппаратам, таким как Global Hawk и Predator.
Поступившие четыре комплекса «Красуха-4» дополнят своих собратьев под индексом 2. Совместно они способны полностью закрыть от радиолокационного обнаружения участки земли в несколько сотен километров, а также нанести радиоэлектронное поражение вражеским средствам РЭБ и связи. Их основной принцип работы — создание мощных помех на всех основных частотах радаров и других радиоизлучающих источников.
Внешне они похожи на обычные радиолокаторы на автомобильной платформе БАЗ-6910 с восемью колесами. Их разработал и производят на предприятиях, входящих в ОАО «Концерн «Радиоэлектронные технологии». Это крупнейший разработчик и производитель комплексов и систем РЭБ в России.
Независимый военный эксперт, редактор сайта Millitary Russia Дмитрий Корнев считает, что «Красуха» — это серьезный прорыв в высокотехнологичных средствах борьбы.
— Системы радиоэлектронного противодействия и радиоэлектронной разведки такого класса, «Красуха-2» и «Красуха-4», безусловно высокотехнологичны. Основная их задача — оборона от высокоточного оружия, его носителей, систем обнаружения и целеуказания. Это очень актуальные задачи. Во многом подобные системы уникальны, должны дать толчок в качественном смысле всей радиоэлектронной промышленности, — сказал он «Известиям».
Независимый военный эксперт Антон Лавров пояснил «Известиям», что «Красуха» должна решать задачи на оперативно-тактическом уровне, но по решению Генерального штаба.
— То есть они не входят в состав бригад и общевойсковых армий, а являются средством комплексного усиления на важных участках, где намечается крупный конфликт. Дальность их действия — от 150 до 300 км. Такой комплекс не нужен для борьбы с повстанцами и бандподпольем. Он предназначен в первую очередь для войны с высокотехнологичным противником, — сказал эксперт.
Работы над «Красухами» начались в 2009 году, а с 2010-го ведутся государственные испытания и первые опытные поставки.

Армия США намерена разработать новую технологию глобального позиционирования, которая в перспективе позволит снизить зависимость от действующей сегодня GPS, сообщает Agence France-Presse. Технология будет включать в себя не только средства обеспечения позиционирования на местности, но и микросхемы, которые будут встраиваться в наземные устройства. Работу на проектом ведет Управление перспективных разработок (DARPA) Пентагона и Мичиганский университет.
В рамках проекта исследователи разработали устройство, которое способно определять координаты без использования систем спутниковой связи. Устройство представляет собой куб со сторонами, равными восьми миллиметрам. В его состав входят три гироскопа, три акселерометра и эталонный генератор частоты. Подробности о работе такого прибора пока не раскрываются. По оценке DARPA, он может быть использован для персональной навигации или в боеприпасах малого калибра.
Исследователи также намерены разработать систему позиционирования, которая будет определять координаты по сигналам теле- и радиовышек, антенн сотовой связи и даже по элетромагнитным излучениям от молний в грозовую погоду. Работы в этом направлении пока находятся в теоретической стадии. По словам директора DARPA Арати Прабхакара, перспективная технология глобального позиционирования «не будет решением все-в-одном», но будет включать в себя несколько технологий, позволяющих отслеживать время и координаты «по внешним источникам».
Технология GPS была разработана в конце 1970-х годов, а ее внедрение началось в 1980-х годах. Изначально она разрабатывалась как исключительно военный проект, однако впоследствии допуск к ее использованию стал открытым. При использовании GPS определение местоположения производится по времени получения сигнала от спутников; на основании этого сигнала производится вычисление по трем координатам. Для определения местоположения необходим сигнал по меньшей мере с трех спутников.
По словам Прабхакара, в настоящее время американские военные слишком полагаются на GPS. Эта технология используется в системах навигации самолетов, некоторых авиационных и артиллерийских боеприпасов, в персональных компьютерах и беспилотниках. Глушение или перехват несущей частоты GPS может нарушить работу систем вооружения.

Комплекс «Красуха-4» полностью закрывает от радиолокационного обнаружения на 150–300 км, а также может нанести радиолокационное поражение вражеским средствам РЭБ и связи. Работа комплекса основывается на создании мощных помех на основных частотах радаров и прочих радиоизлучающих источников.
Комплекс размещается на четырехосных шасси БАЗ-6910-022. Предприятие-изготовитель: ОАО «Брянский электромеханический завод» (БЭМЗ).
Мобильный передатчик помех РП-377Л «Лорандит» может быть переносным (помещается в нескольких рюкзаках) или устанавливаться на автомобильную базу. Это одновременно станция РТР – радиотехнической разведки, а также подавления средств связи УКВ-диапазона, блокирующая УКВ-рации, мобильные GSM-телефоны и каналы связи автоматизированных средств управления.
Вероятно, РП-377Л справляется с GPS-сигналом и спутниковой связью в S- и L-диапазонах, ну а сеть из двух-трех комплексов может вести пеленгование вражеских радиостанций. Такие комплексы смогут надежно прикрыть и выявить средства связи диверсантов противника в радиусе до20 километров, то есть обеспечить непроницаемый информационный колпак над позиционным районом и стартовыми позициями дивизиона или полка. В прошлом году в РВСН поступило 40 таких комплексов, и это только начало.
По некоторым данным, в ближайшее время начнется формирование отдельных батальонов РЭБ (обРЭБ) в составе ракетных армий. Судя по официальной информации РВСН, парк средств РЭБ пополнится комплексами РП-377 и РП-377Л «Лорандит» (он же «Ветла»), МКТК-1А «Дзюдоист», по некоторым сведениям, и семейством «Красуха» (1РЛ269 «Красуха-2» и 1РЛ257 «Красуха-4»).
По данным производителя, «Красуха-4» способна ставить помехи и спутникам семейства «Лакрос».

Вероятнее всего, батальоны РЭБ РВСН, укомплектованные «Красухами», по составу средств будут аналогичными и выглядеть примерно так: система автоматизации батальона и рот (групп станций), несколько «Красух-2» и «Красух-4», усиленных станциями РЭБ для подавления УКВ-связи и GPS, а также станции РТР «Москва-1» (современная версия «Автобазы»).

Москва. 3 февраля. INTERFAX.RU - Концерн "Радиоэлектронные технологии" (КРЭТ) разрабатывает бесплатформенную инерциальную навигационную систему БИНС, сообщил во вторник журналистам первый замгендиректора КРЭТ Игорь Насенков.
"С 2015 года начинается проект разработки бесплатформенной инерциальной навигационной системы БИНС общей стоимостью 14,5 млрд рублей", - сказал Насенков. Он отметил, что предполагается выйти на производство более 1500 единиц навигационной аппаратуры в год.
"Она (система - ИФ) позволит самолету или наземному средству ориентироваться в пространстве без систем ГЛОНАСС, GPS и выполнять поставленную задачу с полной ориентацией в пространстве и с огромной точностью", - сказал Насенков.
Он отметил, что разработчиком БИНС является Московский институт электромеханики и автоматики, входящий в КРЭТ.

В начале 80-х годов прошлого века США развернули в ФРГ, Италии базы новейших крылатых ракет средней дальности «Томагавк», оснастили ими ударные корабли и подводные лодки ВМС. Наши штатные РЛС ЗРС Войск ПВО страны с трудом их обнаруживали из-за чрезвычайно малой эффективной поверхности рассеивания, полета на предельно малых высотах в режиме огибания рельефа местности в сплошной зоне помех от местных предметов поверхности земли. Всесильная Военно-промышленная комиссия (ВПК) при Совмине СССР поставила задачу науке и промышленности найти управу на «Томагавки». В этой работе активно себя проявил в тот период капитан Олег Корощупов. В 1979 году его, выпускника с красным дипломом Орджоникидзевского высшего зенитного ракетного командного училища ПВО имени генерала армии И.А. Плиева, назначили служить в 496-й учебный полк обеспечения образовательного процесса Военной инженерной радиотехнической академии ПВО имени Маршала Советского Союза Л.А. Говорова (ВИРТА ПВО). В полку оценили эрудицию, вдумчивость и технические способности лейтенанта, который обслуживал СНР-75М3 «Волхов» (ЗРК-75), и перевели служить инженером в научно-исследовательскую лабораторию академии на кафедру радиоэлектронной борьбы (РЭБ), которая и была определена головной в создании вооружения против «умных» крылатых ракет вероятного противника.
СЕКРЕТ РАЗГАДАН
Выход «Томагавка» в точку назначения обеспечивала корреляционная экстремальная навигационная система (КЭНС), в которую основным датчиком входил бортовой высокоточный импульсный радиовысотомер AN/APN-194, работающий непрерывно в течение всего полета до цели. Он действовал на излучение только вниз на подстилающую поверхность. Обнаружить это излучение штатными радиоэлектронными средствами ЗРС было невозможно. «Томагавки» могли за считаные минуты нанести удар по всей европейской территории нашей страны. Они нарушали ракетно-ядерный баланс в мире.
В 1984 году ВПК поставила задачу кооперации из 32 научных и промышленных предприятий Советского Союза разработать и испытать многофункциональный комплекс радиоэлектронного подавления радиовысотомеров крылатых ракет. Обнаруживать их по излучению бортового радиовысотомера и выдавать целеуказание ЗРС для уничтожения. Чрезвычайно ответственную научно-исследовательскую работу возглавила Харьковская радиотехническая академия ПВО и ее кафедра РЭБ, которой руководил доктор технических наук, профессор Дмитрий Цурский.
Как рассказал полковник запаса Олег Корощупов, в академию через третьи страны доставили BGM-109 «Томагавк», которая дизайном, качеством серийного производства вызвала невольное уважение. Русские военные инженеры и ученые изучили всю сложную и хитроумную начинку заморской новинки и предложили для обнаружения на дальности прямой видимости ракеты сигнала ее бортового радиовысотомера использовать высокочувствительный приемник сигналов, передавать координаты цели штатным средствам ЗРС для взятия на сопровождение и уничтожение, или подавить американский радиовысотомер сформированной хаотически импульсной помехой. В создаваемой боевой радиоэлектронной системе специалисты команды Дмитрия Цурского использовали такой алгоритм работы ракеты, что, как только радиовысотомер подавлен, он выключается и не подает данные в бортовую КЭНС. В этот момент по заложенной американцами логике включается барометрический бортовой высотомер, и ракета, чтобы не врезаться в препятствие на земле, за секунды поднимается на высоту 300 м и летит к цели без режима огибания рельефа местности, который возможен только с работающим радиовысотомером. Капитан Олег Корощупов и ряд инженеров создали действующие макеты высокочувствительного приемного устройства сигналов американского радиовысотомера, а также средств подавления. Их испытали. И только после этого на полигоне Капустин Яр военным конструкторам была выделена специальная, закрытая от посторонних глаз и ушей охраняемая площадка, где с 1985 по 1988 год создавался полномасштабный макет многофункционального комплекса радиоэлектронного подавления. Государственные испытания показали его высокую эффективность.
На другой площадке полигона это устройство было встроено в ЗРК С-75. Боевые стрельбы по имитаторам «Томагавков» подтвердили, что дальняя граница зоны поражения крылатых ракет увеличилась в два раза по сравнению с возможностями штатного ЗРК. Высокопрофессиональный полигонный расчет одобрительно отозвался о созданной радиоэлектронной системе обнаружения и подавления американского радиовысотомера. Были подписаны все необходимые протоколы по испытаниям нового боевого радиоэлектронного средства. За эту разработку военных инженеров из Харьковской академии в 1990 году отметили премией Государственного комитета по высшему образованию «За лучшую научную работу, выполненную в вузах СССР». Майор Олег Корощупов получил патент на способ измерения дальности до крылатой ракеты и на соответствующее устройство.
Специалисты ВПК отметили: «В этой работе самое ценное заключалось в том, что впервые в мировой и отечественной практике в одном изделии удалось совместить локатор и систему радиотехнической разведки и от них передавать информацию на соответствующий КП для принятия решения на уничтожение воздушной маловысотной малоразмерной цели. Информация от этих каналов в пассивном режиме объединялась на уровне первичной обработки и давала эффект увеличения дальности обнаружения, уменьшения времени поиска и уничтожения «Томагавков».
В последующем эта система радиотехнической разведки против «умных» американских «Томагавков» была, возможно, использована при создании новых российских комплексов ПВО.
ОФИЦЕР – ПРОФЕССОР
Военный инженер и конструктор, офицер Олег Корощупов в знаменитой радиотехнической академии ПВО в Харькове окончил адъюнктуру. Был назначен старшим научным сотрудником, читал слушателям лекции по радиолокации, готовил к защите диссертацию. Однако неожиданно из Киева в 1992 году пришло распоряжение ВАК Украины представлять авторефераты диссертаций на украинском языке. Переводчик за два часа не смог перевести с русского на украинский язык даже наименование научной темы. В украинском языке не нашлось нужных слов и технических терминов.
Огульная украинизация не позволила получить в Незалежной заслуженную ученую степень и вынудила подполковника Олега Корощупова в 1994 году из Харьковского военного университета (ранее – ВИРТА ПВО) с немалым трудом перевестись служить во Владикавказское училище Внутренних войск МВД России преподавателем информатики. Лишь в 1998 году в Военной академии ПВО (ныне ВКО) имени Маршала Советского Союза Г.К. Жукова в Твери он блестяще, по оценке ученых-экспертов, защитил свою диссертацию, которая базировалась на натурном эксперименте созданного образца боевой техники.
В отзыве на эту диссертацию отмечено: «РЛС со встроенным каналом радиотехнической разведки способна сосредоточить энергетику в направлении крылатой ракеты без непроизводительного поиска по направлению. Несомненный интерес представляют результаты поиска и разработки методов функционального поражения крылатых ракет по информации об излучениях их бортовых радиовысотомеров…»
После этой защиты полковника Олега Корощупова назначили заместителем начальника Северо-Кавказского военного института Внутренних войск по научной работе. Он написал ряд учебников и учебных пособий, монографию, подготовил двух кандидатов наук, за плодотворную научную деятельность ему присвоили высокое ученое звание «профессор» по кафедре «Прикладной математики и информатики», а в 2003 году он стал почетным работником высшего профессионального образования Российской Федерации.
Особенно стоит подчеркнуть, что офицер Внутренних войск Олег Корощупов в те сложные годы службы участвовал в составе подразделения института, как оперативного резерва МВД РФ, в боевых операциях в Чечне и других регионах Северного Кавказа. Был награжден медалью ордена «За заслуги перед Отечеством» 2-й степени.
Карьера у офицера сложилась. Он четыре года служил в Москве заместителем начальника НИИ Внутренних войск. В 2005 году его за вклад в военную науку избрали членом-корреспондентом Академии военных наук. В 2007 году он уволился в запас.
Кандидату технических наук, профессору, полковнику Олегу Корощупову предлагали различные должности в науке, оборонке. Однако незабываемая для него работа по «Томагавкам» определила выбор, и он пришел на работу ученым секретарем в радиолокационный НИИДАР, в котором в этом году встретил свое 60-летие.
При этом используют не только стационарные комплексы РЭБ, но и компактные, внешне напоминающие ружья. Так, переносной комплекс "Пищаль" лишает дроны навигации и связи. Вес — всего три килограмма, стреляет направленным сигналом на расстояние до двух километров. Аккумулятора хватает на час работы — одиночный стрелок сможет противостоять налету целой стаи беспилотников.
